We did it! Austin is officially on the SFDC UG Map. Thanks for everyone who was able to attend and helped in establishing the format for the upcoming meetings. Look for another posting after Thanksgiving concerning the details of our next meeting (December 6th, 4:30-6pm).
Our first meeting covered basic introductions (available on utube - thanks JIM!), agenda format and items of interest for topic discussion. We also indicated we would like to understand features/objects each member uses. We could then create a knowledge base matrix of users/features to give us insight if we have questions on certain topics. Our meetings would also include demo's by users and AppExchange providers. We thought that having breakout sessions into smaller groups during the meeting would be beneficial as well as identifying best practices and problem solving tips.
We are fortunate to have seasoned admins, power users and new comers within our group. Austin can have a powerful user group so please encourage others to attend.

I've quickly enabled Tagging, Floating Report Headers and Inline Editing. What will you take advantage of in Winter '08?

I'd love to hear more about what Convio is doing, I think we briefly mentioned them on Thursday - based on this post, it looks like they are doing some pretty cool stuff
