Overview:

The goal of a salesforce.com user group is to foster a community full of enthusiastic salesforce.com users, developers, partners and employees.  The Insurance User Group will be focused exclusively on the particular needs of customers in this unique industry. The community will be united with one common goal: mutual success for Insurers using salesforce.com. The user group will meet online on discussion boards, on conference calls and in periodic face-to-face meetings.

What makes user groups unique?  They are run autonomously by customers for customers. While salesforce.com employees can play an active role in the Insurance User Group, ultimately it will be a place for users to share best practices, challenges, ideas and solutions amongst each other.

Participation:

The Salesforce.com Insurance User Group will be open to all North American salesforce.com customers in the Insurance industry. This includes Carriers, Agencies and Brokers in P&C, Life, Health, and others. Reinsurance providers are also welcome in the group.  Any individual may join, but the participants most likely to benefit will be Business Executives, Salesforce.com Administrators and others who are responsible for ongoing management of a Salesforce.com deployment.
