LA User Group Launch a SUCCESS!
Our re-launch of the Los Angeles User
Group was a success, with Chris Anthony from ExactTarget presenting an
email marketing tool. With this tool, you can create, target, deliver,
integrate, track, and manage sophisticated email campaigns. If you missed this
or attended and would like more information, Chris can be contacted at
canthony@exacttarget.com.
After the presentation, we began our Troubleshooting Session, which
uncovered the following issues:
- Difficulty tracking Partners
- No Outlook email add-ons for Mac
- Google Adwords is costly and clears history
- Difficulty increasing User Adoption
- Difficulty tracking contacts when they change employer
- History can now be tracked for the account field in the contact record. This will be covered at the next meeting
- Not able to enter more than one email address per
contact
- This can be done with a custom field, but it is unclear as to whether an email can be sent directly from the system using the alternate email address
- Difficulty with data integration/cleansing
Future meetings will include presentations that address as many of these
issues as possible. We have decided to meet every other month and will
move the location around in an attempt to accommodate as many User Group
Members as possible.
Details regarding our next meeting date and location are forthcoming.
Thanks to everyone who attended!
