Looking forward for the next one! If it is anything like the last one, I stand to win a Champagne bottle!

For the next meeting, it will be nice to cover some examples of customization of SalesForce for clients -- Peek the view of various objects, views, dashboards, reports, custom s-controls, etc.

Cheers,

Joe

Killian comments on "Data Validation - it's easy!"

Tomaszs solution forces all addresses to be validated for Australian States, irrespective of country.

In order to ensure that non-Australian countries are not forced to select an Australian state, try the following which checks if the Country is Australia or if Country is blank ...

AND (
OR(BillingCountry = Australia, LEN(BillingCountry)=0),
NOT(
CONTAINS(VIC:NSW:QLD:SA:NT:WA:TAS:ACT, BillingState)
))

The billing address in an Account may be a post office box. Which is no good to Multimap. So I put an IF clause in to check if there is a shipping address before there is a billing address.

IF(ISNULL({!ShippingCity}),HYPERLINK(http://www.multimap.com/map/places.cgi?db=
CASE({!BillingCountry},Australia,AU,AUS,AU, New Zealand, NZ ,{!BillingCountry})
addr2={!BillingStreet}addr3={!BillingCity}state= {!BillingState} pc= {!BillingPostalCode} , Multimap),HYPERLINK(http://www.multimap.com/map/places.cgi?db=
CASE({!ShippingCountry},Australia,AU,AUS,AU, New Zealand, NZ ,{!ShippingCountry})

Hi all,

Ive been using salesforce for around 3 months and have built a custom ap to manage our day to day business as a recruitment organisation. Still have a lot to learn but Im happy to answer any questions that I can about custom aps.

Also if there are any experts out there that are competent with custom formulas Id love to have a chat and get some advice.

I will be at the first melbourne user group session.

Cheers

Hi

I am interested in finding out how to best use enterprize in a franchising model. We are new to Salesforce and would be interested in meeting and discussing with an experienced user.

Cheers
