New Nonprofit Starter Pack Package

Steve Andersen from Salesforce.com Foundation released new versions of the Contacts & Organizations package and the Recurring Donations Package.

Contacts & Organizations v 1.64

 *   release notes (http://wiki.developerforce.com/index.php/Nonprofit_Starter_Pack_Conta...
 *   install link (http://foundation.force.com/packages/contactsandorganizations

Recurring Donations v 1.18

 *   release notes (http://wiki.developerforce.com/index.php/Nonprofit_Starter_Pack_Recur...
 *   install link (http://foundation.force.com/packages/recurringdonations

There are a couple major improvements in this release that many folks have been anticipating

Contacts & Organizations now has an interface for merging Contacts in the one-to-one model. There is a custom tab called Contact Merge that allows you to search for duplicate contacts and then merge up to 3 at a time. This is currently winner take all behavior-the non-winning Contacts will be deleted.

Contacts & Organizations now fully supports deleting Contacts in the one-to-one model via the API. This will clean up the process of mass deleting Contacts. One-to-one Accounts will be deleted automatically unless they have Opportunities associated with them.

Recurring Donations has some fixes to make it compatible with this new Contacts & Organizations package.

Tal

Welcome to Tennessee/Arkansas Nonprofit Salesforce.Com User Group!

My name is Tal Frankfurt and I am the leader of the group. I recently moved to Memphis from Israel, where I founded and led the Israeli nonprofit Salesforce.Com user group. Additionally, I provide information and communication tools for nonprofit organization and higher education, specializing in Salesforce.Com and Google Apps.

This group will cater specifically to the needs of the Salesforce.Com nonprofit community in Tennessee and Arkansas. From my experience, this is a great place to share your knowledge, learn about new applications, solve problems, and network.

The intention of this group is that it be driven by the members and not by any single person, thus your active participation in the meetings is critical.

If you haven't already done so, please sign-up using the form to the left to receive notifications about our meetings and events.

The first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. I am looking for an organization that will be willing to host/sponsor the event, if you can help please send me an email.
