Nonprofits San Diego
New 2009 SNUG Meeting Formats
We are 1 of 13 non-profit Salesforce.com users groups and presently have 55 members. Our members have diverse needs and skill levels. Some are marketers, and some are techies. Most are beginner, some are advanced, and a few are expert users.
So this year, we're trying some new things to help newbies jump start their Salesforce.com configuration and assist advanced users with their special needs.
Socials. Attend a social to meet other non-profit organizations, learn about their exciting programs, share successes and failures, and form informal and formal partnerships. WANTED: a SNUG Social Secretary to find fun places for us to meet and manage a monthly budget of $250.
Workshops. Attend a monthly workshop held in a university computing lab where every attendee has a full workstation. Learn tips and tricks for beginners and advanced users, then implement in your own license, and get onsite help from experts. WANTED: ideas for workshops. What do you want to learn? I'll find an expert to teach a class for you. Tentative workshop schedule (subject to change depending on your input):
Jul Acteva, Event Registration System
Aug Google Apps
Sep Beginner Jump Start
Oct Vertical Response, Mass Email System
Nov Dashboards
Good Fun. Beginning this Summer (probably August issue), I'm writing a monthly article for Pacific San Diego magazine (circulation 30,000) that will function as a guide of fun things to do that also benefit the community. Keeping in mind the readers of PacificSD magazine - guppies, i.e. young fashion-obcessed and esteem-driven students and entry-level professionals - please post or send to me a description of an event that you would like me to write about.
