Learn more about mass email and deliverability

OK, most of you will know that when it comes to mass email tools I am a huge fan of Vertical Response. Its not just that they give 10000 email credits a month free to non profits, and its not because I find their system very easy to use and integrate with salesforce.com....

Its because you really get an insight into how they do what they do so well

Check out these from their recorded learning webinars.

In particular

  • Build a Newsletter that Works (62:37)
This one got me seriously thinking about our previous email newsletter offerings and how they have fallen short of the mark ( and I thought we where doing quite well up to that point!)

    and ...
  • Understanding Email Delivery (71:45)
This last one got me seriously thinking about all the things we do in our organisation that a can adversely effect how much of our email actually gets to our recipients! Small and quite innocent things can make a huge difference.  In the world of Internet email providers you are clearly guilty until you can prove you are innocent. Did you know that up to 70% of the email that is sent on mass never actually makes it into the inbox! And we all grown about what does get through in terms of spam.  Find an hour and a bit and watch this webinar if you want to get more from your email marketing ( and yes- if you use other email systems, this webinar will still be relevant to you.)

how google do it...

Ever wanted to know how google manage their "cloud" computing.

found this post really interesting, and for anyone exploring the benefits and reliability of " cloud" applications, it gives a really good insight into the robustness and sense behind the cloud environment

Cloudforce Non profit Summit

Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone who made the Cloudforce non profit summit yesterday at Excel. Such a great event.  It was great to meet lots of new comers to the non profit community as well as some familiar faces, and to learn once again that there is always more to Salesforce than you ever thought possible. ( How do they do keep doing that!?)

I'd like to congratulate Chris Atwood, Isabel Kelly, Sara Brophy, and Phillip Kennerly for a really fab. day.  Lots of effort and energy goes into getting events like that off the ground, and I met nothing but inspired and happy attendees, full of praise for your efforts guys. Thanks for doing what you do.

If you were inspired by Monday's event,  please do sign up for our user group, and get similar input every six weeks for free!

Recordings of yesterdays event will be up on the nonprofit podcast soon....

Really easy to sign up.... just fill out the form to the left of this post, and I'll be in touch.

See you then.

Ciaran :-)
