October Meeting
It's finally official... our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday October 25, 3:00pm-5:00pm. Peter Churchill at the Center for American Progress has been gracious enough to once again provide the facilities. The address is 1333 H Street NW, Washington, DC. We'll be on the 11th floor.
The agenda will primarily focus on DreamForce '07 and the upcoming Winter '08 release. I will make a conscience effort to ensure that the content is relevant to the full spectrum of user group members; admins and users, newbies and old timers. And, as always, we'll make time for the ever-valuable open discussion and information sharing.
As an added bonus, since we have shifted the meeting time to conclude at 5:00pm, we have the option of extending the fun at one of the local establishments for happy hour!
I hope you can make it!

User Group Revival
First of all, I want to apologize for the amount of time that has past since our last User Group Meeting. In the last couple months, my organization has been undergoing a merger (kind of unique for a nonprofit) and I've relocated to Blacksburg, VA (not much fun in this housing market). Nonetheless, I am planning to be back in DC for the week of October 15 and I am looking forward to pulling the group together for a timely discussion on salesforce.com.
As many of you know, last week was DreamForce, the annual conference for salesforce.com in San Francisco. Given the distance, I know that not everyone in the group was able to attend. For those of us that were able to make it, I think that our next User Group Meeting would be a great time to debrief on the experience and share with the rest of the group.
Be on the lookout for another posting and email with the specifics for the meeting in the near future. I am thinking about trying to schedule something during the day this time to see if it wouldn't allow for greater participation than our evening meetings. In any case, feel free to post your comments or shoot me an email with your thoughts on the agenda, meeting time/date, or anything else that may be on your mind.
Thanks.
Chris
Our June Meeting
Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 19, 6:30pm-8:30pm. We'll be holding this meeting at a different location (just around the block) due to a scheduling conflict. We'll be on the 11th floor at the Center for American Progress. The address is 1333 H Street NW, Washington, DC.
We won't start the formal part of the meeting until 6:45 pm to allow time for street parking. I'll bring wine and appetizers for those that want to mingle before we get into the deep stuff. Peter Churchill will demonstrate how he has used s-controls and APEX for the Center for American Progress. We'll also get an update from our salesforce.com friends and talk a little about this year's DreamForce event. And, as always, we'll make time for the ever-valuable open discussion and information sharing.
I hope you can make it!

If you haven't already done so, please sign-up using the form to the left to receive notifications about our meetings and events.
Our first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday May 22nd 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Points of Light Foundation. The address is 1400 I Street, NW, Washington, DC. We'll be on the 9th floor. Please make sure you are in the building before 7:00pm to avoid issues with security.
