Ottawa Salesforce User Group Meeting - Wednesday December 10th 8:30 - 10:30am

Please join us for our next Ottawa Salesforce User Group meeting on Wednesday December 10th between 8:30-10:30am. The meeting will be held at AutoSkill office at 555 Legget Drive in Kanata (Tower B 9th Floor).

The agenda for the meeting is as follows.

  •  Salesforce 101 Presentation & Discussion will be a presentation from Salesforce on “what’s new in Winter 09”.
  •  Deep Dive Presentation & Discussion will be a presentation from Craig Kasperski of ExactTarget on their AppExchange tools to create, deliver and track high-impact emails that leverage your Lead and Contact data. Their unique approach lets you deliver dynamic content − unique content (copy, images, links) to each individual Lead or Contact − and send messages on behalf of your Lead, Contact and/or Account Owners to drive a one-to-one relationship. With ExactTarget, there is no data synching. Instead, you keep your data where you want it. ExactTarget access your data directly from Salesforce to create, deliver, and track your email messages.
  •  Networking Break
  •  Group Think - Open Questions & Answer. Please bring your salesforce related questions. Hopefully others in the meeting will be able to help you in finding an answer/solution to your questions.

Ottawa Salesforce User Group Meeting - Wednesday November 19th 8:30 - 10:30am

Please join us for our next Ottawa Salesforce User Group meeting on Wednesday November 19th between 8:30-10:30am. The meeting will be held at bitHeads office at 1309 Carling Ave in Ottawa (Westgate Mall at the corner of Carling Ave and Merivale Rd).

The agenda for the meeting is as follows.

  • Salesforce 101 Presentation & Discussion will be 2 short presentations from the Dreamforce Conference:
    • Richard Hall of Protus will give us a General Overview of "Cloud" Computing. What it means for Salesforce.com, for other SAAS providers, how the integrations of Facebook, Starbucks My Ideas, etc.
    • Kevin Caputo of Evolving Sales Solutions will share the key takeaways from the Getting Started with Salesforce CRM for Google AdWords breakout session
  • Deep Dive Presentation & Discussion on KnowledgeSEEKER, which is an AppExchange module. Kevin Fielding from Angoss Software, will walk through the benefits and provide an interactive demonstration of their product. KnowledgeSEEKER, is a suite of predictive intelligence applications that takes existing sales and prospect data from salesforce.com and seamlessly integrates resulting scores, reports and action lists back into the application to be used by sales and marketing.  The suite provides predictive lead and opportunity scoring, predictive forecasting and segmentation to answer some basic questions and improve sales effectiveness - which of my leads are most likely to convert?  Which opportunities will close in this quarter?  What is my forecast (without the forecast surprise factor)? 
  • Networking Break
  • Group Think - Open Questions & Answer. Please bring your salesforce related questions. Hopefully others in the meeting will be able to help you in finding an answer/solution to your questions.
