Meeting Notes from First Phoenix User Group Meeting - Thurs. Mar. 27, 2008
At our inaugural Phoenix User Group meeting, we had a lively but small group turnout - 9 persons attended, including myself and our local Salesforce.com Account Executive and Sr. Sales Engineer. Many thanks to Brad Phillips from Salesforce.com for preparing and presenting a great slide show highlighting some of the new features in Spring '08. During the meeting, we introduced ourselves and had brief discussions of members' interests and challenges. But most of all, this was a get acquainted meeting, with a discussion of Spring 08 features, and potential sponsors for future meetings (e.g. AppExchange business partners). Various suggestions were made for possible topics for the next meeting. The general consensus of the group was to highlight more feature tips and techniques, and share case studies of challenges and solutions.
Since the turnout for the first meeting was light, I'd also be interested in any suggestions from members who were not able to attend regarding suggested topics for future meetings. More importantly, I am eager to hear from any members who would be willing to share a brief case study of some challenge or success achieved within their own organization using Salesforce.com. Also, please suggest any vendor sponsors you might like have at our next meeting. We have not yet scheduled the next meeting data, pending members feedback.
Regards,
Dave Gildar, Phoenix User Group Leader

Thank you for posting the slides, very interesting. I am going to look into the Actions off a Search listing - I haven't seen that yet.
As far as future vendor sponsors, I use Conga merge which is fantastic and I can do nothing but rave about them - but they are not based in AZ at all. Don't know if that makes a difference. But yes, I work closely with them and highly recommend them to anyone needing expanded merging capabilities.
I'd love to hear/see members that are using salesforce for their recruiting/hiring/employee/PTO information. I'm getting ready to implement that section and would like to see challenges/successes with that.
