Phoenix

Meeting Notes - April 23, 2009

At our April 23, 2009, Phoenix User Group meeting, we had three good presentations on current topics related to Salesforce.com.

Barry Duncan, from iLinc, presented an overview of iLinc, a web conference tool offered through AppExchange. Barry demonstrated how iLinc is integrated with Salesforce.com contacts, and how iLinc can track which contacts participated in a webinar.

Dan England presented a functional overview of his company's award-winning AppExchange data integration application named Informatica On Demand. Informatica On Demand provides configurable data integration between Salesforce.com and other external databases, such as Oracle and SQL Server.

Jesse Lorenz, platform evangelist from Salesforce.com presented a basic introduction to VisualForce for customizing the Salesforce.com user interface. Jesse highlighted the benefits of VisualForce as a superior customization tool when compared to the old method of developing S-Controls.

Our next meeting is planned for sometime in August; however, the agenda is not set yet, so I welcome suggestions for volunteer speakers or potential presentation topics.

Best Regards,
