December 12th User Group Meeting a Great Success!

Hi All,

Thank you to all who attended last Friday, Dec. 12th's User Group meeting at MTS.  What a great venue!  Thank you to Connie Wussow and her team for all the work they did to make us feel welcome!  If any of you are interested in hosting the February meeting, please comment to this blog, or send me an email at leyna_a_hoffer@bluecrossmn.com.

While we had a great turnout - 60 people! - there were 31 people who RSVP'd, however did not attend.  Please make every effort to attend if you do RSVP.  Salesforce.com and the presenting Partners purchase food based on the number of RSVPs that we receive.  We purchased food this time for 85 people (both breakfast and lunch) and a lot of food went to waste.  In order for us to continue being able to have sponsored breakfasts and lunches, in the future, if you do RSVP and find out later that you cannot attend, please let me know at least 3 days prior to the meeting. THANKS!

Thank you to our guest speakers; Bill Becker from MTS, Michael Bonner from Pipeline Manager and Ken Neff and Su Pyun from DreamFactory.  Attached are the slides from the Pipeline Manager presentation, the DreamFactory presentation and the slides with the links to the online communities/groups that you can join.  If you haven't already registered for the DreamFactory Visa Card Giveaway, the information for how to do so is on the final page of their slides.  The winner will be chosen on Thursday, Dec. 18th so don't delay!

Our next meeting will be mid-to-end of February.  Topics/Agenda Items that were voted on were:

  • "Guerilla SFDC" - free AppExchange Solutions that work!
  • Custom Objects/Apps built by users for their organizations

If you have a great AppExchange solution that you've used and would like to give a quick demo of it, please let me know by commenting to this blog, or sending me an email.  The only caveat is that it must be 100% free.

Also, if you have built a Custom Object and/or App in your instance of SFDC that has solved a problem for your organization, and would like to demonstrate for the group, please let me know by commenting to this blog, or sending me an email.

Thanks again for all the awesome participation.  We have a great group!

Happy Holidays and I look forward to seeing all of you in the New Year!
