Record Turnout for February 27th Meeting!

Hi All,

Despite the huge snowstorm the night before, 74 of the 95 people who RSVP'd attended the February 27th User Group meeting - our best turnout to date!  Thanks so much to all of you who were able to be there.

We met at the Eden Prairie Community Center, which worked out quite well and we voted to continue meeting there in the future.  Our next meeting will be in May in conjunction with Cloudforce Success Tour, so will be held at whatever venue the Cloudforce meeting is held.  That is tentatively scheduled for May 6th, so please block that day out on your calendars for all kinds of fun Salesforce.com events!

Some thank yous are in order for making this latest meeting such a great success. Thank you to:

  • Heather Ramsdell from Salesforce.com for all her help in finding the venue and for a fantastic presentation on the new Spring '09 functionality
  • Kari Holtegaard, Steve Geiger and Del Dehn for helping plan and orchestrate this meeting and vounteering to assist with the Marketing portion going forward
  • Michael Lee from IDeaS for doing an awesome job of presenting two apps to the group (one custom built and one downloaded free from the AppExchange)
  • Jeff Hoffman from Salesforce.com for presenting Campaigns and Web-to-Lead, and helping to lead some really stimulating Marketing discussions.
  • Salesforce.com for sponsoring this event
  • All of you for attending and making our group one of the largest in the country, and in my opinion - the best!

For all of you that turned in your surveys on future presenters and topics, thank you!  This was a great way for me to determine what presenters would appeal to the largest segment of the group.  The biggest vote-getter by a landslide was Corda whose solution is Business Performance Dashboards.  I will be in touch with someone from there to present at one of our meetings in the very near future.  Other partners who received many votes were; iLinc - a SFDC integrated Web Conferencing Tool, iHance - an automatic email logging/Contact creating solution, and OneSource - an Account Intelligence solution.  These partners will also be contacted to present throughout this year at upcoming meetings.

We also discussed the LinkedIn Twin Cities User Group as an extension to our User Group meetings.  We currently have almost 90 members to that group and it is a great place for YOU to post your questions, comment on new features, post an interesting article, etc.  This is a terrific resource to tap into the knowledge of the group and a great place to share ideas, job openings, resumes and experience!  If you are not a member of the LinkedIn Group, please join us!  If you are already a member, please feel free to post and comment there!

Finally,  don't forget to take advantage of the Twin Cities Salesforce.com User Group Discount offer on Admin 201 from Model Metrics.
